EDF - wrong initial reading

Hi guys,
a month ago I moved to a new flat (tiny flat, 1-year-old new flat, I am the second tenant).
On the checking landlord made an initial reading and put it into the check-in report.
After 1 month EDF did a reading and send me the first-month bill for a 560 GBP ... 8-O
My previous usage was about 280 kWh and 40 GBP per month.
I found out by "burn test" that landlord used a wrong meter for initial reading (and the previous tenant were using also a wrong meter for readings).
1st reading - by landlord, wrong meter about 3500
2nd reading - by EDF on correct meter 6500
Landlord refuses to speak this matter since it is 1 month after check-in and she said it is my problem now...
I am trying to speak with EDF by email, but they are all 1st level support outside of UK and they do not understand the problem.
Sorry guys I just moved to this country and I am a bit lost... I think the landlord is trying to exploit it, do you know how to connect with someone from EDF like 2nd level support?
