the reason why i am checking is just in case something happens down the line and the insurance company tries to weasel out of the policy.
i am 24, with a year of NCD, have a fine for speeding and drive a peugot 206. i did the confused/money supermarket/other comparison price websites and i got the usual variety of quotes.
i thne went to swift cover to get a price and when i put in my details i got a quote that was riduous for my age of 230 quid. i checked the details that i entered and they are correct i.e date of birth, job, address. i was unsure about the extras they were offering so i had factored in the prices for them as well and any extras were being based of the 230 price. as this was by far the cheapest quote i went for it and have paid it all in one lump sum.
however now if i go through again, the price they quote is over 100 pound more!
i have a policy number with the 230 quote and i have saved/printed the details of policy / T&C, can swift in the future cancel my policy if i have provided correct details for the quote at that time.
Unsure if i want to call up, as theres a difference between advice/ignorance/ being helpful on trying to correct their mistake.
thanks
ian

I would be tempted to take the low quote, just phone them quoting the quote reference. Just be sure to print out & keep every bit of information you get.
Double check the information you gave initially to be 100% sure.0 -
If you have entered all the details accurately (double check!!!!) then go for it.
Unsure what you mean by extras are you referring to Legal Aid / Breakdown What????.
Also make sure the level of cover is correct in that, on the cheap quote its just not 3rd Party you have selected and on the dear Fully Comp Protected.0 -
Make 100% sure your details are correct, then if OK go for it.
Would expect a big increase next year, are is the way when an insurer is so much cheaper than the market average, but you can switch insurers again.

thanks.
this was more for peace of mind than anyting else.
i called up the call centre and have taken then name of guy who i spoke to.
i confirmed all my details again over the phone, and gave him the policy number. he said it was fine, though he didnt mention anything about the price.
think there must have been a glitch on the site for me to get that price as i mentioned, the quote after that one time was about 360.
cant see me getting this level of quote for some time given my age, but as long as i am covered this year i am happy0
