Have a read of this http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/electricity-standing-charge
Apart from Ebico, mentioned in the link, Green Star do an Unlimited Tariff with price depending on your circumstances https://www.mygreenstarenergy.com/Our-Energy-Tariffs/Unlimited-Tariff0 -
I didn't know about Green Star - it looks like that could be good for people with lodgers where it seems usual to charge an all-inclusive rent.0

I initiated a switch to Ebico over 6 weeks ago from BG..Supposed to transfer over on 3 rd July..Ebico seem to have failed completely..I am still with BG paying through the nose £15 a month standing charges for a vacant property I own.
Ebico are in the hands of Robin Hood Energy now..I have nt got the time to spend two hours on the phone trying to get through to them..
At the moment I would advise not to bother with Ebico0 -

Is there are particular reason why you only want suppliers who don't have a standing charge?
You should consider all suppliers and find the one that offers best value for you. Use a reliable price comparison site and enter your annual energy used in kWh and look at the results.
If a non standing charge supplier is cheaper, it will appear near the top. If not, then you can see that for your energy use perhaps other suppliers are better value.
Two reliable comparison sites:-

Even if, as gsmlnx suggests, you do a price comparison and they come out the cheapest?
How much more are you willing to pay per year to avoid making that phone call and find out what is going on?"In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

I have been with Ebico for over three years, first when partnered with SSE, now wit RHE. There was a hiccup when they changed over, all resolved now and I have paid my first quarterly bill. I have never rung Ebico, there has never been any need, I did it all online. They don't have a lot of staff so things take a while to sort out.

Do any of the companies offer no standing charge on both electric and gas? Thanks
Oh yes!
But then you presumably already know that

Join the Cheap Energy Club and you can filter the results to show only tariffs with no standing charges if that is what you really want.
Theres a lot of alternatives other than Ebico who are by no means the cheapest.
But if you just want the cheapest options, then leave the filters off. If a no SC option is cheapest for you it will be at the top of the list. If not, whatever is cheapest will be at the top :money:
Remember the WHD you are entitled to is not offered by many small companies (including Ebico/RHE as you have previously beeen told) so make sure you don't lose out on that by switching.0
