Hi

Im due to get paid on Tuesday 29th august, day afyer the bank holiday, but was wondering if anyone knows if my pay would go in on the Saturday instead? Normally if i get paid on a monday my money is available on the Sat bit Im not sure if the bank holiday changes this.

We've had this question so many times before. Your pay will probably show in your account on Saturday, but will not be reconciled till Tuesday evening. Meaning...if you withdraw it over the weekend, you will show as being overdrawn for a while on Wednesday. It shouldn't incur any charges, but it is basically a pending payment and, if you check the date it was deposited, it should show Tuesday 29th.

As always when this is asked, you'll see it on Saturday but it will have Monday or Tuesday's date. That means any transaction in the meantime could potentially make you overdrawn.

Natwest account holders often see this as a bonus "feature", until they realise it could be a costly "feature". I really wish they'd stop doing this.
