Albany assistance
Options
Hi, I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this for me. I just had a phone call from a bit at Albany Assistance about a car accident I was in back in October 2015. He started talking about the case being due to close and there being an outstanding amount available to claim if I suffered minor discomfort. Now I already claimed for this accident so I told him this and asked if it was not the same. The phone call then somehow ended and Im not able to call them back as it was a private number. Instincts tell me this is some sort of scam and he terminated the call after finding out I've claimed, but I am having some technical/user issues with my phone terminating calis. Anyone ever heard of this? I've done some searching but can only find answers that relate immediately post accident.
Thanks
Thanks

Albany Assistance are a well known accident management company. They usually get referrals direct from insurance companies. Although they are a major player and are well established, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are reputable!0

Most likely your instincts are correct, if you lead him to believe that you had already claimed comp-en-say-shun.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Hello Stef89xX,
Albany Assistance was rebranded as Auxillis in September 2016 and we would like to assure you that these phone calls are not being made by our company. We have no connection with calls being made to consumers under our previous name Albany Assistance (or similar names). We believe these calls are targeting individuals to fraudulently obtain information relating to road traffic accidents and possible injuries sustained by the driver and/or passengers.
We do not, nor have ever made unsolicited out bound calls. If we contact a customer in connection with their case, we will always take appropriate security precautions to verify our own and the customer’s identity at the outset.
We have informed the police and appropriate authorities regarding these calls, but please also report any such calls yourself.
Kind Regards,
