What is a B2B writer?

Anyone got any idea how these differ from other freelancers who work with businesses? Is it just a selling pitch?

B2B = Business to business (as opposed to say, a consumer publication.)

Isn't someone who writes for a consumer publication just a writer? I don't think advertisers or signwriters describe themselves as B2B writers.

Someone that writes for a consumer publication would just call themselves a writer. The B2B is just letting you know that it is a trade journal and not a news stand one.

A signwriter is something completely different and an artist and not a writer at all but I think you know that.

B2B is where companies sell to other companies. B2C is where companies sell to consumers (individuals). A bank can be both. Someone that is a B2B writer specialises in B2B industries. Market research is a B2B industry. Consulting is a B2B industry. Accountancy is B2B industry.
