ESA Support Group - Reassessment?

I've been in the Support Group for ESA for a few years (I can't remember when it was first granted). I have secondary progressive MS, amongst other issues.

This morning I received a Capability for Work questionnaire.

The illness isn't going to get better and it isn't going to go away.

I migrated from DLA (lifetime award) to PIP (reassess in ten years time) successfully last year.

Didn't I read that people with progressive, worsening conditions weren't going be be reassessed any more?

Can't believe I've got this stress all over again, and so soon after the PIP business!

I could cry... I thought I was okay for a while at least. Can they take anything away from me at this stage?

Nothing has been confirmed as yet as to which conditions this will be. The ESA50 form you've recieved needs to be filled on and returned before the date on the letter otherwise your benefit will stop. Yes they can find you fit for work still. The good news is they can't do this without a f2f assessment. Send in plenty of evidence to support your claim and hopefully for you, you'll have a paper based decision.

With a condition such as progressive MS it is probable, but not definite, that a decision will be made purely on the basis of the information already held, in association with the ESA50 you have been sent. I know it's a long form, but complete it and return a.s.a.p. along with any supporting evidence.

I think it is coming in from April 2018
it might be April 2017, but I think it is April 2018.

It is not gauranteed to give you life-time ESA, it is a decision to be made probably at your next WCA after it has been introduced. i.e. your next WCA after April 2018.
