I am an administrator on a fan page, someone recently started sending messages that contain videos of people doing some very sick things with animals.
I tried to flag it to Facebook but because it is a fan page I can only mark it as spam. If I go through the route of reporting a message I where I type in the user who sent it, it wont let me as it auto fills with my contacts but this sicko is not a contact of mine. There seems to be no way at all to speak to or email directly anyone at Facebook. I am not sure what to do, but surely there must be a way to get this chap investigated?

Report it to the police?0

This user is based in India, with all due respect to the police, I can't see them getting involved. I thought Facebook had a responsibility to sort these issues? I only want them banned or whatever, just to stop them sending it random people.0

I'm pretty sure you can block that person from posting, if it's a closed group just remove him/her all the groups I'm in you have to ask to join and be approved by admin.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
Use the report button.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

That's the wierd thing, there is no report button because it's a message to a fan page. I can just block it, but do we live in a world where we just ignore the fact that people send videos around of people sticking things in to dogs bottoms? I mean, this could have been seen by anyone, a 14 year old child maybe and then gets them into it.
Personally I'd rather get these people banned and then at least Facebook is not a dangerous place. But of course, it seems it is as they have no way to contact them in this instance. Their support system is very specific and if your problem isn't listed you are left in the "Q & A" section where other users try to help. But my question was removed as it was deemed abusive.
I'm flabberghasted.0 -
You should be able to report it, I've reported a lot of !!!!!! and inappropriate material that's been posted on Facebook groups I'm a member of, much of it comes from hacked accounts and like I said, if the Facebook fan page is a closed group you should be able to stop it getting there in the first place. Unfortunately it's difficult to stop altogether as I mentioned most of it comes from hacked accounts so the source is not generally the person who's account it is, I had it happen to me on Intagram, god knows how but they hacked into my account and changed the password and it was an absolute nightmare trying to convince Instagram that my account had been hacked.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

I've DM'd the user to see if they have been hacked or if they find these videos good.0

Does seem a bit off that there is no way you can contact any form of actual support at Facebook though.
Maybe there is a law whereby if you offer support you have to pay corporation tax at a fair rate? Would explain it.0 -

At the top right hand corner of the post you will see a v, if you click on this you will get a list of options, one of which says "Report this post"I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0
