    OP's other active thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5695267

OP, I'm not sure, given what's in this other thread, that your employer would be inclined to do you a favour in your reference if they find out about your sick leave.

But I do wish you happier and more settled times ahead.
  • What have I done on my sick leave? Tried to better myself by going to interviews preparing for this moment? No matter how ill I am I have to work unfortunately so I need to look.

I think most people are aware of "the other thread", and what's in it.

I read this one as the OP having taken on board the advice, and trying to do the right thing by their current employer, ie admitting they're not going to return to work. As I mentioned before, personally, I think that by "coming clean", their employer is likely to look more favourably on the OP than they would done had the OP strung out their sick leave (and possibly sick pay) and the pretence of a return to work longer.

Sorry Danielle, I wasn't having a go at you. I suffer from severe depression myself and am on medication. I hope you have a happier future ahead.
