Pcn parking contravention 27

I received a PCN today for being
Parked in a special enforcement area adjacent to a dropped footway
This is parking contravention 27
The issue i have is that the dropped curb is not for anything, there are no driveways or doors which the dropped curd is leading to. This is why i parked there, half covering the dropped curd as i was not blocking or obstructing and i have also seen other cars being parked there.
Is there any way i can appeal this or is it even worth trying?!

If this is a council PCN you would be better taking this to pepipoo.com as they are the council/police motoring experts. WE tend to specialise in private parking tickets here on MSE.
You will need to register on pepipoo with an email address, but hotmail doesn't work for some reason.
Scan both sides of your PCN and post it on pepipoo once you have read the FAQs.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Dropped kerbs can be for pushchairs and mobility scooters.
It might be useful to know if there was once something it led to, and hence no-one would be using it ; but that might not count for much.0 -
PS ... it's not a curb (or even a curd), it's a kerb.
curb is a verb - e.g. curb your enthusiasm for correcting grammatical errors0 -

Once again a driver gets into a pickle by making up their own rules or urban myths then looks for excuses to cover their tracks.
However that being said the advice to post on pepipoo is your best bet, though none of your stated your excuses will cut it.0 -
Little Miss Muffet had some trouble with dropped curds.0
