Looking for large mirror : quote is :

Hi,
I am after a 1600 * 1200 mirror bevelled edges with 4 bonded glass shelves and am quoted price of 440 + VAT (supply) and 80 + VAT fixing charges.
Another shop has quoted £200 including fitting, but cant provide bonded glass shelve! I can't understand the huge difference! Any comments?

Cheers

  • Its the bonded shelves that's making all the difference. At a guess your more expensive quote has budgeted for another mirror or some spare smaller pieces to try it out on first.

    I know I would :)

Having said that the price is reasonable for a bespoke piece. 200 quid for a standard mirror that size is a bit expensive though. Possibly 30-40 quid cheaper would be more realistic and you might be better searching some dept stores who have special offers on.
