Caravan Holding Fee

I was told that I could pay a £1000 holding fee for a caravan. I did on August 12th. By August 13th I had emailed the company stating that I no longer wished them to hold the caravan for me as I was not getting the site view that I really wanted and I am going to save more capital to be able to finance this and would like to go onto their waiting list.
Am I entitled to all or part of my money back without paying any admin fees?

not if your contract with them states that they may charge you admin fees or that the holding fee is non refundableEx forum ambassador

What do the terms and conditions state that you agreed to when you paid the deposit. We can't read them from here.0

I'm more pointing out the "what are the terms and conditions" aspect as it goes
possibly the deposit is refundable but they can charge admin fees to process it and deal with the paperworkEx forum ambassador

No written contract it was done over the phone.
It is a holding fee that holds the caravan and plot for 7 days, not a deposit
I emailed the next day telling them that I did not want them to hold the caravan or plot.0 -
What have they said about returning your holding fee?
As it was done over the phone, unless they subsequently emailed/posted you their T&Cs (before you cancelled) then no T&Cs allowing them to retain the full fee are legally enforceable - thus you're entitled to a full refund (less any reasonable admin costs, say £50).0 -
Thank you so much for your advice.0
