A quick head's up to all those who transferred across to Post Office Broadband from the now defunct Fuel Broadband on the promise of a £20 all-in fee for 18 months.
I received my first bill from Post Office and it's £28 quid!
A ropey start.

We'll see how they respond to my email.

Does that price include a partial month? e.g. billing is calendar monthly but your service started about 12 days before the end of the month?

Last bill from Fuel was the same as the last six. Unless they want me to pay for the same service twice.
Still awaiting a response. Cannot recommend Post Office Broadband to anyone so far.

    Ah ... I didn't realise it was a migration/takeover - I thought you'd transferred to a new supplier. :)

Post Office broadband is merely rebranded TalkTalk.

After three unanswered emails to their non-existent customer service department threatening to cancel the direct debit, I sent a fourth last Friday.

It included a link to two of the largest consumer forums, where I had posted my dealings with POBB.

I sent copies of the fourth email to both the Post Office Complaints Department and to Meredith Sharples, head of the Post Office.

On Saturday I received an email stating my new bill will be £20. On Monday I got an apology from the complaints department, mentioning my email to Meredith Sharples.

Don't you just love a story with a happy ending.

I have recieved no comunication whatsoever regarding the changeover, in my bank statement this month my charge has doubled. My legal adviser has assured me that this is illegal, and so I have cancelled my direct debit and found a new supplier with even better terms. As I have had no communication I cannot contact the PO as it appears I need a PO account name and password.
