Are these shares still current?

Options
Hello - this is my first post -

Just been sorting through some old documents and came across theses share certificates:

BT
RAIL TRACK
POWER GEN
NATIONAL POWER
EAST MIDLANDS ELECTRICITY
NATIONAL GRID

I have never gone out purposely to buy shares - these must relate to things that were sold via tv ads, etc.

Are they still relevant or can I destroy them?

Thanking you in anticipation. Jeff :)

They could be worth a lot of money ! As said contact the registrars for each or take to your bank and see if they will sell them for you. More expensive than the cheapest option but better than throwing them away !!

Have you never been sent cheques for dividends from these companies ?

To save your bin or shredder from getting cluttered up with these, feel free to send them to me and I'll take care of their disposal.... ;)
