Using Avast antivirus. Has anyone come across this message.
"UI Failed to Load.
This is embarrassing.
AV Service is not responding"
I've tried reinstalling Avast (twice) all to no avail.
Then I tried Avast Forum and found several other users are having the same message.
The Icon in the tray says that the system is secure, but I'm not convinced as it won't allow access to the user interface.
Any Ideas guys?

Sorry. I should have said. I'm still using Windows XP and this PC won't accept Windows 10.
One of the first things I tried after Avast failed was the MS site and tried to reinstall Windows defender which I had before but its no longer compatible with XP. (Support was stopped for Windows defender when they stopped supporting and Windows XP).Trying to learn something new every day.0 -
