Hi MSE'rs
I have a dell insprion 1300 which was rubbish so I upgraded the memory and know in my view is just what I what and it was cheap.:D
The thing is that The Hard Drive isn't that big and I'm already 3/4 through it:eek:
So I think i would like a external one added as well. So I was thinking, for my birthday
I received £50 Argos vouchers so I have credit in Argos, I found these 2, and do you think these are good quality and which one is the best:rotfl:

So Please comment and tell me if this is decent, I really would like a argos one
P.S. I'm not a advanced techy, and I just want a external hard drive, not a super duper one
Thanks again

Nice short links you posted

Not sure I would go with either of them.
Buffalo DriveStation 250Gb USB 2.0 Hard Drive
SUMOdisk External 320Gb 3.5in Hard Disk Drive.
How about these:
Western Digital Elements 250GB FAT32 USB 2.0 External Hard Drive
Western Digital My Book 500GB Essential USB2.0 External Hard Drive
Western Digital My Book 250GB Essential USB 2.0 External Hard Drive0 -
why?
,
BTW the links were small, they changed

Mate of mine bought this a few days ago. It took a week to arrive admittedly, but its a nice little unit. USB plug-n-pray.
At £70 delivered it's a good buy.0 -
But why is the others not good though, i thought they were good.
I really need something from argos as I have the vouchers0 -
I didn't say they weren't any good.
To be honest I only skimmed your post and missed the Argos vouchers comment
I don't have any personal experience with those drives, but there are some reviews on the internet if you Google a little:
http://www.techtree.com/India/Reviews/Buffalo_DriveStation_250GB_External_Storage/551-83652-632-5.html
They seem to be ok.0 -
Thanks for that
, I just wanted something basic to store more of my files on.
Anymore argos related ones would be helpful

Neither of them are outstanding value, which may not bother you if you have vouchers. The other question is what disks are actually in them? One of the posts above linked to some Western Digital drives, WD make the actual disks and have a good reputation so you know what you are getting. Of the two you psted I would veer towards the Buffalo as I have heard of them, I've never heard of Sumodisk.
BTW Argis sell WD external disks but they are a shade pricier than the two you picked.
Personally I'd whack the couchers on ebay and use the cash to buy a Seagate or WD drive elsewhere. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Thanks for that0
