All things money

  • All materials now purchased for work on the house. Haven't added up figures exactly, but roughly about £200 spent and came out of the regular budget, so very happy with that.

Haven't managed much money making. Have been using vypr and had a small sale on eB*y, that's all. Also have a sale that hasn't been paid for yet, so hopefully buyer will sort that today.

Have sent an overpayment to the mortgage, bringing it down into the 5 figures!

Busy morning of housework, lots still to do so better crack on.
  • Feeling a bit deflated at the minute, such slow progress. Again not much to report. Received some outstanding money, half which went in to savings and the other half towards a bill. Tiny profit made on eB*y. Still no payment for my outstanding sale, have flagged it up and waiting to hear back.

    Hoping for a better week!
  • Posted my eB*y sale today and no sign of small amount of cashback due today so flagged this up with £co. Did some steers on vypr. Otherwise getting organised for some visitors.
  • I think sometimes when you focus on such a massive goal it can make you feel deflated ... but try not to be you're doing a great job. Maybe set some small achievable goals that you can focus on a month at a time etc.... Adds some interest in a somewhat arduous journey ;)
Started my MFW journey in August 14 : £103,650
    2019 : £77,900
  • Hi LBD
Definitely breaking it down I to smaller goals helps as otherwise it can seem such a huge task!

Well done on the eBay sales and cashback...these things all add up :)

  • Wildesavings and downshifterella....thanks for posting. You're right, a few goals are in order! I will have a think!

Should hopefully have some outstanding money coming in over the next few days. Need to decide where it is going.

More items finishing on eB*y tomorrow, then I'm going to take a break from it for a week or two.
