Thanks Jelllibeanz!
Just got an email reminder that my gas and electric fixed rate is coming to an end in September. Got a quick quote on cheap energy club and it's suggesting I switch from flow energy to EDF. Busy the next few days, but will phone flow on Friday and if they can't match/beat EDF then I'll switch. Also see that quidco are doing £50 cashback for them at the minute for dual energy so will go through them.0 -
Out at the shops today.
Spent £2.40 in Asda and about £13 on the lunch. Collected a few presents I had ordered online from debenhams and got a small amount of cashback by going through quidco. Also uploaded a half a dozen ads onto my job spotter app so hopefully get some Amazon vouchers for that.0 -
Weekly T/co shop coming this morning £45.17. Redeemed £4.55 in Amazon vouchers from job spotter.
Feel like the money making is very slow at the minute. Must make an effort to list more on eB*y!!0 -
Hi LBD and welcome
The support from other mfw's is great and makes all the difference as in the 'real world' it can be hard finding likeminded people when it comes to clearing the mortgage as a hobby :rotfl: MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Thanks newgirly. It is definitely hard to find like-minded people!
Out and about a lot yesterday but no spends until I ordered a few presents last night, which were budgeted for.
Got a letter to confirm my current account switch is to happen in the next few weeks, so hopefully get some money come in from that in due course.
Today have a few bits to get for some DIY around the house and need to start looking for a couple of bigger purchases...will research and hopefully be able to order online with cashback. Also need to post a few cards but have some stamps already. Some points to be collected on vypr when at the shops also.
Phone call re energy needs to be done too. Busy busy, best get to it.0 -
Not too much spent yesterday. Had a credit note to put towards stuff for the house and a gift voucher toward a few other bits and pieces I got.
Current energy provider able to give me competitive quote so going to stay put for another year.
Got to nip out this morning to pick up a few more bits for decorating and then expecting a delivery mid afternoon (went through £co). Otherwise some sorting and organising to be done, along with the usual housework. Also have some items finishing on eB*y this evening.
When I was working I would regularly overpay each month when I got my wages. I looked forward to it all month - how sad?! But now it's a case of paying a lump sum off every so often when possible. So I just have to be patient...not my strong suit!0 -
Good luck LBD! Looking forward to following your journey chipping away at that mortgage

Good luck with the new diary, LBD! Hope that the eBay sales come off well.0

Thanks porgiegeorgie. Michelle09 I have found sales on eB*y to be very slow recently, but did manage about £40 profit.
Busy few days organising for some decorating work to be done. Still a few bits to do over the next few days, but expenses have been very modest do far.
Not too much else to report just now. Onward.0
