Spending time with people we love is so very important. My mum died 6 years ago and now looking back I wish I had created more special memories with her. We did spend time together, days out here and there but I wish I had more. I'm not saying you're going to lose your mum too (absolutely not) but sometimes we get so locked into the daily grind of life, things to do, routines, work, life... we don't take time out to just sit and talk, and be close.

I think you'll get a lot out of your week away, the kids, hubby and the house will all still be there and they won't fall apart. They can cope without you and no doubt will enjoy having the chance to show you just how grown up they are and how well they can do things for themselves. You'll be proud of them and they will be proud of themselves.

Thats the part I am worried about! :o I do everything for my kids and my OH, they have no concept of anything to be fair, I am sure they think the washing fairy washes and irons their clothes and puts them back in the wardrobe and that the cleaning fairy comes in and cleans up after them and I sit round on my bum all day doing nothing!!!! lol

Is this not an additional reason to go away? Perhaps for longer?

Could you cope with the adulation when you return though?

Probably not cause I am not that sort of person, yes sometimes I cry out to be appreciated but doing this for other ppl and putting them first is always the way I have been :o
