Oh I wish I had a dashcam at the time!
Two lanes of traffic, can see the bus up ahead is probably going to stop, so mirror, signal and start to move into the next lane. Audi driver behind then puts his foot down and also pulls out, so I pull back in.
Within my car I said "Bloomin idiot" or words to that affect. The audi drive then slams his breaks on, unwinds his window and signals me to do the same - which I do.
Audi - "What did you say, what did you say?"
Me - "I called you a bloomin idiot for that maneuver"
I was then called all the names under the sun and invited out of my vehicle so he could rip my head off!
I don't think it helped when he said - "Bet your @rseholes quivering now" and I started laughing.
Man in an audi wearing a suit, obviously thought he was king of the road.
I guess its the equivalent you see on these police programs where men feel they have to rip their shirts off. Why would you repetitively ask someone to get out of a car to have a fight?!

You did the right thing not getting out.
There are no winners in that sort of thing. One or both end up in court.
To prove what?
They're too civilised really. They're used to saying what they like with no consequences.0 -

There are no winners in that sort of thing. Somebody "wins" and one or both end up in court.
To prove what?
Also they're too civilised. They don't expect anyone to take them up on it.
Would never dream of getting involved in anything like that. Value my freedom and career too much.
Just amused me at how much he wanted us to pull over and fight!
All I kept thinking about at the time was the Ronnie Pickering video and how much it resembled that!
I think because I kept really calm it annoyed him more.0 -

Being calm is the best thing IMHO.
It seems to be getting more prevalent. That's the worrying thing.
He wasn't "under the influence" was he?0 -

What is it with Audi drivers?
Not sure which is worse, those driving the bottom of the range models who obviously have a chip on their shoulder because they can't afford one of the larger versions, or those driving the fat oversized Q cars who struggle with their size.0 -
I've had a couple.
One was a cyclist who said "weirdo" as I cycled past minding my own business. When I said "what's your problem then?" it quickly escalated to him waving his fists around, insisting I get off the bike for a scrap. When I didn't take him up on his offer he tried slapping me around the face a few times, but that didn't work either. Jails are full of meatheads like him.
The other was a motorist who turned the car around and chased after me when I stuck two fingers up for honking his horn as I cycled round a roundabout. He went up and down the road screaming at me to stop, and when I didn't, he got out of the car and threatened me with a hammer.
Now this is what I call real road rage.0 -

I don't know. There are various "prestige" brand car drivers who seem to think it gives them some sort of importance or authority over us lesser mortals.
As P-R says. "God complex"
Be it not for me to disillusion them, even though I really don't (and I really don't) care what they have chosen to lease.
I'm a heck of a lot more impressed by someone who is a careful and courteous driver, than by whatever tin suit they happen to be rolling along in.0 -

I'd have told the law about him.
I cycle occasionally, but on the narrow lanes around here, it can get fraught.0 -
And in other news, Kenneth Noye has been moved to an open prison.0

Pretty much sums it up.
I think what compounds the anger in them is that they usually don't actually own the car, it's on finance/pcp, they're spending hundreds per month for this "prestige" car and your not treating them with the respect they think they deserve.
Of course when they do something stupid, p1ss someone off or get abuse from someone, they just accuse them of being jealous or having a chip on their shoulder.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
