Post Office platinum card

I applied for a post office platinum credit card 0% 28 months

They wrote back asking for certified ID & address verification. Does this mean I've been accepted for card pending this documentation?

I'm planning on asking my bank to verify the documents, if they won't then post office will charge me £10.50. It's not worth paying if my application will be turned down.

Logically then this should mean at least a provisional approval.

However there's probably more threads complaining abiut post office/ bank of Ireland than any other provider, certainly proportionate to their share of the market, so I wouldn't say its going through without any issues.

You will find that in the ID letter it clearly states or it did with mine, that it is still subject to status, you may be accepted or like me still be declined after nearly 4 months of jumping through hoops and spending more £50 at post office for certification although after complaining got it all back plus compensation.

You should only have a credit check from Bank of Ireland (Post Office's issuer)

I'd say you've got off lightly, apply elsewhere and don't look back!
