A similar thing happened to me last week. I received a letter after a 2 year + gap. I will ignore it as well. Maybe a new company has taken over and they are clearing up old files??

No, this is a well known tactic of the scummers - a last ditch attempt to catch the victim off their guard and spook payment out of them.

No, they mostly use a 'new' debt collector that turns out to be just another trading name of the same old shower.
