Sorry I know it's very hard to tell from a picture but could this possible by asbestos drywall? The house was built in 1974 in Northern Ireland and the survey didn't find asbestos inside (just the garage) but then they covered themselves by saying they couldn't see under the wallpaper
They also seem to have missed the Artex ceiling http://imgur.com/a/lPSJ6 which probably has asbestos or am I being paranoid?

You're being paranoid about that tiny bit of artex.
Take a sample of the artex and get it tested but unless it's falling down then I don't think you need to worry about it.
I don't think anyone could tell you about the drywall either but it doesn't matter unless you're planning to remove it or scrape at it? If so get it tested also. Safely take a sample and post it offChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
I'd need to sand it to prepare it for painting so I am a bit nervous.0

You don't need ti sand artex before painting it - just need to clean it."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Apologies I meant sand the drywall before painting.0
