Court Claim form. First serious letter from Gladstones/UKPC

  • How has this happened? You don't just get a claim form in the post without (usually) a whole shed load of nonsense from the likes of DRP. Clearly if you received absolutely nothing and were not aware of the possibility of a claim you're in a much better position to get the set aside.

Most Courts allocate Default Judgments once a week. I fear that there will be a computerised case management system used by the Claimant, which will see that they applied for Default on day 15, once no Defence or Acknowledgment was filed.

You can sign up to one of the free credit report agencies and see if anything has been registered against you (use the old address).

If not then worth a try and send in your defence. (Though nothing showing may not be accurate)

Even though it's late if UKPC haven't requested judgement then your defence arriving first will trump any subsequent request for judgement arriving afterwards
