Refused things as i have no paper trail

i have been applying for a few things recently and get rejected for all. I have a friend who works in the underwriting dept for a CC company, and i asked him to do a bit of digging around for me.He says, i have no paper trail to my address. basically i have one loan, one CC, one current acnt and one saver and they are all with Lloyds, never defaulted or been late at all. lloyds have kept all the info to themselves about me and have not put anything on my Credit File, so, when i try to apply external to llyds, i have absolutley nothing on my credit file.what also makes it harder is i have moved 4 times in the last 2 years, and have not been on the elctoral role anywhere for the last 2 years. I have no other bits of credit at all. Now i have put myself on the elctoral role for my new property, but it doesnt get published till 1st dec, so i have still got to wait 2 months. Does anyone have any idea what i could apply for, that is easy to get, (cus i have no history on my file) so that i can get something on my file? maybe catalogues, store cards etc? I dont think vanquish or aqua will give me one cus i have not got anything bad on the file.any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

I was in a similar position about 18 months back. Basically I opened a Next Directory account as they report all activity to the Credit Agencies, I also opened a littlewoods account.

One very important note - set up a direct debit on each account to clear the full balance each month.

After 6-9 months you will have a nice collection of "Up to date" markers on your credit files. This method helped me for sure.

    Hope this helps
