Ukmail

Somewhere in this forum is probably a group dedicated to UKMAIL and their shoddy service!! I have been trying to get a parcel for the past week, i was told they were having problems delivering, and that they needed my phone number, that was passed on. I get a text to say my delivery was due yesterday between 1-2 i then get a text at 14.15 to say the driver is delayed but my parcel will be with me soon, it never turns up. So i go on twitter and ask where it is. I get a response 2 hrs later saying that the driver couldnt find me and couldnt phone as he had no signal (texts work fine thou!) I get told that it will be delivered tomorrow (being today) i go to work, get back, no delivery, check online, its at the depot. !!!!!!! Phone, automated call, yep its at the depo. Send a message through their website and get told this

Thank you for contacting UK Mail.

Unfortunately this can not be rescheduled to be reattempted as we are only able to do this up to 5 working days from collection from the supplier. The goods have been held at the depot due to the failed delivery attempts as no contact number was originally supplied therefore the driver was unable to call you for directions. The contact number was provided on 09/08/2017. The delivery had already been attempted 3 times before we received this. Please contact your supplier for further information regarding your order.

bearing in mind NO attempt has been made as they have failed to find our address at every delivery, we are on a main road! Not the back end of nowhere! Absolutely fuming, have contacted the original sender who tbf responded straight away and said they would look into it first thing monday. Am never ever using UKMAIL or DHLL for anything that i need to send or receive! Its just lucky this is a prize and isnt something i have purchased! Unfortuantly my husband is also waiting for a delivery and they have not bothered to call him either!!

You seem to have a problem with your exclamation mark key.

Sorry you've had a bad experience. I've never had a problem with UKMail. You're going to seriously limit your future shopping options if you refuse to use them never ever again.

I ordered something couple of days ago, expected delivery 6-8 working days, signature would be required.

Followed instructions & entered their website to add "if no-one home I'll collect package from local depot".

Email this morning said package would be delivered today with link to track it. Took a look & I was 16th on his route & he was at the 7th.Text followed stating delivery between 10:08 & 11:08.

Delivered within that timeframe. Driver very polite & friendly, he even had a scratchy pen thing, so first time ever with a delivery I wasn't expected to use my fingernail & could actually read my own signature!

Sorry OP, either I've been lucky or you've been unlucky. I can't find a single fault with their process, excellent job.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

UK mail are the worst, they have delivered a £400 tv of mine from Lewises to another house about a mile away, later they also sent a £100 dashcam to the same house.

When I googled their depot, one came up up Manchester, the phone number given was a solicitors.

I always ask now when having items delivered to make sure that it is not via UKmail. If UKmail is used I do not buy, simple.

    I like "click and collect"

Ebay take what UKmail say as the truth and will not refund. I am fortunate in that the person who received the second item brought it to my address.

  • How do you know the driver had phone signal? Just because you got text messages sent out by UK Mail HQ doesn't mean the driver himself had signal - they're not issued work phones.

There's also more than one mobile phone network, so he could be on a totally different network to you, and hence could have no coverage where you do.
  • I've had nothing but problems with UK Mail. The usual 'we tried to deliver' lies.

They are getting as bad as Yodel round here.

Funnily enough at my work address they are fine so it obviously depends on the driver.
  • I have also just had the worst customer service experience of my life with UKMail. For those having problems, to talk to an actual person call 02477711904. To get through to these people, I had to call the CEO of UKMail (01753 706070).

I had particular problems with the Docklands depot, so if you live in London beware. Even their head office couldn't get them to answer their phone, and I experienced repeated lies about wrong addresses and multiple van breakdowns.
  • Thank you so much for this number. I have literally been searching for 2 hours to speak to a person!
