It is a proper card it not one of the spam one that are currently going around as it has the correct route number and the same signature of the postman as previous ones i had.
Also my partner got the same card the following day and was able to collect his parcel0 -
last week I sent a email requesting CCTV footage and a signature of my parcel being collected and today I received a copy and paste reply today from royal mail informing me to contact the senders.
I have once again requested CCTV footage and will be obtaining a crime reference number from the non emergency number to see if royal mail will look into this properly rather than send me a copy and paste reply.0 -
Hi,
jings, is it worth all this hassle when you weren't even expecting anything.
Forget it.0 -

I would chase it! It could be a prize - like an iPad, phone or something else of value. Plus if people didn't bother to chase up lost mail, then the Royal Mail would probably become even more careless! There has been reports over the weekend - apparently the Royal Mail sells unclaimed lost postal items and keeps the money! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4803868/First-class-cheek-Royal-Mail-sells-items-lost-post.html :eek::eek: Bloody robbers!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -

Of course the storys main thrust if of a business seller who didnt pay correct postage.Mr Cannell has a Royal Mail business account. He sent the parcel first class with recorded delivery, which includes tracking,
Likely they also failed to package their items correctly and they ended up loose in the post.
How would you 'connect' loose items in the network?0 -

In this case, the address on the parcel was correct as RM attempted delivery before losing the parcel!
atarisrocks - you chase them until your parcel is located! Someone is responsible for losing YOUR parcel!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I can see an obvious problem in that if you don't know who sent it, you cannot inform them it didn't arrive, so the sender cannot initiate the claim procedure.
Assuming you still have the delivery card, and that the Royal Mail didn't take this off you when you visited (!), have you tried arranging a redelivery online? You have all the info from the red card and that's all that's needed. The advantage to this (over presenting self at the counter) is that staff can look for the parcel when the office is quiet and less pressure.
Write in with a formal complaint to the Postmaster- and I think it worth mentioning to them that your partner picked up a (different) parcel for the same address a day later. Quite often I find that just asking for a copy of the formal complaints procedure is enough.0 -

Always wonder who these Postmasters are, where are they based?
Outwith that, totally file a formal redelivery and if not complaint.
Errors do happen at the desk/storage areas.0
