    I visited my branch who were quite helpful and showed me that the money was transferred on 31t July 2017 itself but branch team could not provide any explanation as why it was not credited into my account, I finally got my money in two weeks time on 16th August 2017, I complained to FCA then finally HSBC gave me £50 compensation and FCA asked me to close the matter and hinted that the delay was caused by investigation into terror funding/money laundering, so the best thing to do is get your money go to your branch and provide source of funds and proof of your income, they may help you in expediting the release of funds but dont expect lot of compensation unless you complain to FCA
    I have taken my b business away from HSBC

    Don't expect anything if you complain to FCA, as they don't deal with consumer complaints - it's the Financial Ombudsman Service that handles these....

    They dealt with mine, and banks also advice to approach Financial Ombudsman in case customer isn't happy
    FCA have consumer section as well so please do not say that they do not deal with consumers they redirect you to to Financial Ombudsman Service

    So you agree that FCA don't deal with consumer complaints other than by referring you to FOS (who do deal with them)?

    The FCA page you referred to is the same one I linked, which starts with "We do not investigate individual complaints"....

    Yes, I should've clarified, I just remembered that for my complaint I went to FCA site first, from there I was redirected to FOS, actually it was FOS who dealt with my complaint
    As for branch, I went to the one that was closest to me as I have moved away from the branch where I opened my Account
