Installed on what device? On a Windows 10 computer you'd simply type the app name into the Cortana box and it would find it wherever it's been installed.

And it should also be listed in the Start menu if it's installed correctly if you want to scroll to it.

Yes windows 10 desktop. Cortana? whats Cortana? 1st thing i dumped.

Nope not in the programs menu of folders. I had a look in the folders and nothing installed there. They have dumped it elsewhere.

Searching for the app name though finds nothing. But i can launch it using the store. It knows its installed and says launch. Click that and it works.

Where are they hiding the apps?

Apps are stored in "My Library"
Open the Store > click username(beside searchbox) > select My Library

Where they hide all the slurped data and secret recording of everything you've ever done on the Windows device of course!

Open the Store > click username(beside searchbox) > select >settings>Offline Permissions>make this pc the one that i use to run some games or apps that have limited licenses, even when i'm offline

Note:Not all apps can be run offline
