Dudley PCN - Valid ticket on display

Hi all!

Was surprised to get back to my car today (Ryemarket Stourbridge) to find a PCN.

I had a valid ticket in my windscreen which had enough time on, and no errors in my registration.

The ticket states Code 83 which is

Parked in a car park without clearly displaying a valid
pay & display ticket or voucher or parking clock

I took a photo of the ticket through my window before leaving for work, it was prominent and facing the right way on my dash.

The car park has two separate types machines for long and short stay on various levels, I used a long stay machine. From what I can see there is no separate areas for long or short in the car park, or dedicated bays for either.

I've appealed with this photo attached, anything else I should do? Should I pay now while the appeal is processing?

council or private ?

Who issued the ticket?

If its a council ticket, you should head for the Pepipoo forums for best help but if its a private company, start by reading the Newbies Sticky at the top of this forum - Ideally before contacting them in any way as you will likely shoot yourself in the foot by appealing just on the facts and identifying the driver.

And no, never pay before appealing - if its a legit/council ticket, you will kill any appeal dead as you have effectively admitted the thing and with a private company, your chances of reclaiming any money are next to nil.
