Outlook Issue (with Ical)

For years now I sync my outlook calendar with my wifes Icalendar from her Iphone and print her weekly schedule out as it's a pita trying to print Ical.
For about the last 5 or 6 weeks I have either had to uninstall either MS Office or icloud and then re install them to get it working again as it has shown a number of errors and won't load.
I suspect it has something to do with the weekly updates but am at a loss of how to get round it other than getting my wife to change her calendar app which she doesn't want to do due to the large amount of info currently in it.
Any suggestions?
