Do you live in an area that has a Metro bank branch (or store, as they refer to them), or visit such an area? You can only open an account in store, although you should then be able to use CASS to switch from your current bank.
I opened my account on a visit to London from Scotland purely so that I can take advantage of their free ATM withdrawals in Europe. I do all my transfers in (and rarely out) online, although their online banking in my view is not the best.0 -
I'm also outside their operating area - opened an account when I was on London.
Their online banking is simple but perfectly functional - not a bad thing. I have their Android app too - it's one of the better ones I've used. Sometimes less is more!
I'd suggest opening, adding some cash then making your mind up.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
