Bank Transfer Question

Hi
I am currently in the process of purchasing a house. I have to transfer to £40k from one account and £40k from another account to solicitors account.
I understand when doing this at the bank, they will ask for ID. Unfortunately my passport i have had to get a new one due to it being expired and may take 2-3 weeks.
Can anyone recommend what else can be done? I was thinking doing it online where i can split it into 4 transactions over 2 days due to the limit but again I feel they will ask for a ID.
Thank You

Send it as faster payments online, shouldn't be any issues with ID.
Different banks have different per transaction limits and different daily limits. You'll likely have to split it up into multiple payments and may or may not need to do it over two days. Check with your bank.0 -
First send your solicitor a token payment just to double check you've got the sort codes and account numbers correct and ring them to confirm they have received itNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

The key missing information is which bank (or banks if the two accounts are at different banks) it is. Without that we can't tell you what Faster Payments you would be able to make. It could be that glentoran's suggestion to use CHAPS is a sensible one, but we simply don't have the facts to make that decision.0
