Growing veg in north east garden?

Has anyone grown anything edible (to humans) in a NE facing garden?
Front SW area has space for some things which will be for the tomatoes and squash, but might spinach or lettuce or something work in a back garden with lower light?
Thanks.

Yes it will be OK, but how long is the NE garden and what lies to the west and north-west of it that might also limit sunshine? Those are the two most important factors beyond the shade cast by your house. It will proably get some morning sun, unless that aspect is also shaded.
A friend of mine had a NE facing garden 100' long with a wall at the end of it, which was a fabulous warm spot for fruit. The way a garden faces is only half the story.
Anyway, the best way to find out what will grow is to try things. Some fruit will also grow in part-shade.0 -

Thanks. Sadly 30ft not 100ft! Nothing to West of garden much as it's end of terrace, will mainly be the house itself shadowing....gets full fun until 1ish in summer I think. Haven't moved in yet so not entirely certain.0

I live in a house with a slightly north-east-ish facing garden. 2/3rd of the garden gets baked between about 11AM and 5PM and then partial sunlight until about 7 in peak summer. But like the chaps above suggest it will depends on what's around you.0 -
Thanks folks, chaps and non chaps.0
