how cab I identify credit cards held in 1998

I had a credit card in 1998 and tried to claim against my ppi twice and was turned down twice I was mis sold ppi however I cannot remember who the card was with and have got rid of all my paper work how do I identify who I held credit cards with in 1998

If you can't remember who the card was with, how do you know that you were missold? Do you recall where/ how you applied for the card? If so that would be a big clue as to who sold it to you.

If you have tried twice and been tuned down twice tried with twoce with who. Yoc can only complain once. No 2nd bite at the cherry .

Think the op means they tried to make an actual insurance claim on the policy, and were, for whatever reasons, rejected on two occasions, and now wish to complain about a mis-sale.
Not knowing who the card was with 19 yrs later is likely to be a major hurdle though.
