Strideup

I'm currently looking at buying my first property and was looking at share to buy. However I've come across a scheme called Strideup. Does anyone have any experience or reviews of this?

Thanks in advance

Natalie

I've no experience of this scheme - but I guess the 'devil is in the detail'...

Do they really have lots of investors with a few hundred thousand quid lined up, and ready to jointly own a property with you?

And I guess it's a case of looking for 'bear traps' in the contract. For example...

    - What happens if you can't pay the rent?
    - What happens if you want to sell up and move?
    - Can you force a sale (as you are only a joint owner)?
    - Can the other joint owner(s) force a sale (e.g. if you don't want to sell)?
    - How is the selling price agreed?
    - How is the 'market value' decided when you want to buy more of the property?
    - How is the 'market rent' determined?
    - Will you get the full financial benefit of any improvements/maintenance that you do to the property?
    - Will there be arguments when you sell about whether you've let the property deteriorate?
