    right
    thanks for the advice
I must say I didn't understand from all the NEWBIE thread and other people's posts that I was saying anything that would harm me. thanks.

You've inadvertently entered a murky world, a land of smoke and mirrors

You didnt realise that blabbing personal info might not be a great idea?
This site can be read by anyone with a net connection. ANYONE.
  • Well....
I didn't see what I was doing that was different to all the hundreds of other posts on the subject (ie what you call blabbing!). I had no idea about things like POPLA codes til about a fortnight ago. I am a (obviously stupid) novice. I stand corrected - but I'm not sure how to use a forum to get advice without putting some info on it!! ANyway I have removed all my posts just in case, and I guess I'm not a novice anymore. Thanks!

Yes I have some photos and yes obscured from the road as turn into car park by a large tree and no info on the Pay machine other than 'MACHINE OUT OF ORDER' - also no info on actual machine re paying by card or app. That is only on the remote signs which don't mention APNR but only have CCTV hand written on the sign with no info.

    thanks for the advice!

You will need to build that information into your POPLA appeal as well as embedding relevant photos to support your narrative.

Well you can read other trheads, and notice that names, addresses, POPLA codes etc are never included. Hell the popla templates have Xs fo ryou to fill out.

Its more - you just need to think before posting.
And deleting everything wont help. You'll still need advice going forwards, as a guess.

    its simple really

    no name
    no address
    no phone number
    no pcn reference numbers
    no popla code numbers
no VRM details (so no registration number)
no naming the driver or inferring who was driving

no shoe size or undergarment size ;) lol

nobody on here needs to see any of that information

    the KEEPER is the keeper
    THE DRIVER was the driver

nobody is "having a go" at your newbie novice status

you are being "educated" into the murky world of being online and those details above should never be revealed anyway , anywhere , that is public , yet many do so on faceache , tweeter , skype and other forms of social media including public forums like this one where you dont even need a signin account to view the posts

people could play havoc if you reveal popla codes online

the VRM details can identify who the person is even if their username is just USERNAME or REDX for example

this isnt rocket science , just ensure that the personal details are XXXXXX out on here but exist in your draft, OR put them into your final draft at home , just before submission

for your posts on here, by all means put the appeal but ***** or XXXXXX out the personal details and references , including PCN and POPLA references and the VRM of the vehicle involved too

    good luck
  • yes including the POPLA code was an oversight - the problem is that I as the Keeper recieved 3 postal PCNs in short succession from a car park that had just been taken over by CE. So I am dealing with all 3 at same time, and have got a little confused in the process.
    THank you

    THank you

yep, I know, plus you also posted the PCN reference number in a previous post above , which I noticed as well and replied about

    if I might make a suggestion ? stick a pencil ref of 1 , 2 and 3 on them and use :-

PCNref1 and POPLACODE1 to the first one
PCNref2 and POPLACODE2 to the second one
PCNref3 and POPLACODE3 to the third one

that way you wont get confused and neither will we
  • ok thanks I will do that. I've appealed the final PCN(3) anyway now straight to CE which hadn't already gone to appeal, so I've just got 2 x POPLA codes left (ie the appeal to POPLA 1 & 2!).
    thanks for your advice.
