How do you sell a domain name

I wondered if anyone could tell me the best way to sell a domain name? I have just been asked to renew a website address that I used year's ago and forgot about - I think I have had it for 10 years, renewed last a few years ago.
I was about to cancel my renewal, but remembered year's back there was interest from a few people to buy the domain, so how do I go about doing this?
Thanks,

have you thought about googling the question: how to sell a domain name to a third party?
for example:
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+sell+a+domain+name+to+a+third+party
would lead you to many similar explanations such as this:

Firstly you will need to renew the domain name. If you don't anyone could register that domain name once you are no longer the registrant. If you offer the domain name to someone who is willing to pay you, you can transfer the domain. Your registrar will tell you how.
Caveat: Anyone could register a domain name similar to yours that is not yet registered (e.g. mydomain.co.uk, mydomain.net, mydomain.info, mydomain.com, my-domain.com are all different) so there may be no money to be had from 'cherished' domain names.0 -
Thanks Glen.
I will contact FastHosts and ask about transferring first.0 -
Is it actually good? A GOOD .com will still sell, but since the huge proliferation of TLD's a lot of "value" has been lost0

You can sell through websites such as flippa.com
There are other methods, make sure you are aware of their fees etc.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080
