Sticky Pads for Hanging Things On the Wall

I have tried " Command " strips and "Unibond No More Nails" sticky pads to hang pictures and paintings in several rooms.
Studiously followed the instructions paying particular attention to the weight limits.
Most of them have fallen down .
Reluctantly reverting to using nails.
Forgotten but not gone.

Try picture hooks....they work every time for me! Poundland have them.
  • Put some pictures up in our new house in January using 'command' and they have been steadfast ever since. I like them.

Are the pads coming off the wall or is the item leaving the sticky pads on the wall ?

If the latter did you clean the picture/paintings where you placed the sticky pads ?

I'm a fan of command strips and use then wherever I can - unfortunately this old cottage hardly has any true walls so sometimes I have to revert to proper picture hooks.

Some of my paintings only have command strips at the top sides because of wonky walls and yet they stay up. As others have said, check that your walls are grease and dirt free.

The pads had plastic hooks supplied.
    The hooks fall off.
