Looking for cheap parking at DFDS Newcastle Ferry Terminal

I'll be sailing to Amsterdam from the North Shields port at the end of the month, but I'd really rather not pay £12 per night for parking there. I've seen that there are some free car parks within relatively easy walking distance:
