Current account process

Hi guys, just after a little advice...
I went into branch and opened a Nationwide FlexPlus, ended up leaving with my customer number, sort code and acc number. Which was great
to be honest, I'm hoping my card and pin come soon as I'm off o holiday next week! So I've got some concerns - my credit is not amazing however, this account was opened... Does that mean they still can take it away from me? and secondly, can I start moving my direct debits over to this account or is it better to wait until I have my card?

If they've opened the account you've been accepted. So the only reason they would withdraw it after, is if anything red flags i.e. fraud / CIFAS markers or other intel. If you don't do anything shady, then it's all good. Setup your direct debits etc if you so wish.0

If you currently bank with a member of the Current Account Switching Service (CASS), and know someone with a Nationwide account, you could pocket £100 by letting Nationwide do the switch for you. Be aware it will close your old account.

Is it just me or does the phrase not for profit always seem to translate as we'll pay our executives huge amounts because we're not actually a profit making business?0

Personally, I would never put any money into any account until I have completed access to it - card, PIN, card reader, online and/or app access.
By the same token, I would not set up any DDs against an account that I haven't yet funded.0 -
If you need a card reader, ask for one in the branch. Mine took three weeks to turn up in the post, and you'll need it to get online.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0
