I think it's put a bit of a downer on the thread which wasn't doing any harm to anyone. Just my opinion. I have occasionally used the threads and nearly always find some i've missed, so I find them quite handy, but i still work through the main lists every day.
I posted on this thread to say I didn't use the lists as I didn't want people to think I benefitted from the lists but then didn't bother to volunteer to compile them.
Although fairly new to comping, I do try and contribute to the comp board by posting any comps I find, but they're few and far between I'm afraid as lots of the comps are posted on the site first.
I hope this post goes some way to explaining why I posted here.

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
what do we really gain from these lists? if we miss any we miss them, feel sorry for someone every day making them. Lets just get the start date sorted then no one would have to worry.
bet this goes down like a lead baloon but tact has never been my strong point.

Totally agree. If people need to make sure that they enter every single one then work your way through the list and make a note of where you up to (time/date) in the forum list when your finished ready for your next visit. Not to hard for me#THANKYOUSIRALEX0 -

Have collected the tokens, and just read the rules where it says "May not be re-sold". If I was lucky enough to win a powerboat, my first thought would be to sell it. I assume it means that you can't sell it back via the Mail and the boat's suppliers, but would have to take delivery and arrange the sale yourself. Any thoughts on this please?
Do you think they mean the TOKENS are not to be resold? Once the boat is yours and you have the ownership papers (and its not leased:eek: ) they really have no say in what you choose to do with your property! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
i would like to thank everyone who prepare the lists daily.
I found them very useful as I love comping but I have a full time job and I can't go through all the pages every day.2017 wins over £50: Yorkshire break, Tefal Actifry0 -

Just a suggestion anyway!

Thinks this is a great idea, if think sub folders for every day is too much, could do they for every week or month!!!
As for the list I think they are great, very useful, with working 2 jobs, having 2 kids, one 8 year old, with Brownies, Swimming, Dance Class ect and one 8 month old who wants lots of attention, and tends to bang on the key board...lol:rolleyes:......... as well as me being on PTA and a School Governor, I am lucky if I can work through the email update list, which I get most days........And even with all this I am willing to help one day by going through whole list, as I have tried searching through the search thing but nothing ever comes up and when I try to be helpful and post a competition, even after searching several different seaches, I still end up Duplicating it.ANy way I can 24th February if this helps......

BTW for those interested in a pretty easy way of separating posts by expiration date:
simply go to the first page of the Comps page and click on the column heading 'Thread / Thread Heading' and all 180 odd pages are listed in date order!!
Unfortunately people do them in many different ways so they're grouped in many places but that's how I do it anywho.“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0 -
