Indesit DIF04B1 dishwasher - flashing light

This is a long shot but has anyone experienced a problem on the above dishwasher whereby the on/off button flashes when you turn it on to start a programme?
The Eco light also stays on (not flashing) but we always run it on Eco anyway. It doesn't matter if you try to turn the dishwasher off; it starts again by itself. We've had to turn it off at the plug.
OH has checked the pipes and they're clear. He did manage to get going again, however, after it finished a programme, it beeped then the flashing on/off light started again. It almost sounds as if the dishwasher's trying to drain...but there's nothing to drain.
The dishwasher was only bought in May 2016. Any thoughts on what we can do to correct it?

Have you looked in the handbook or online for Indesit fault codes? If it's trying to pump it sounds like flood protection kicking in.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
