Low balance cancellation

in Credit cards
Hi forum,
I was reading about easy ways to keep cards active.
One way mentioned was to spend a tiny amount online, and that some cards offered low balance cancellation. Where if the only expense on the card was a tiny amount (99cents or so) then the creditor would just cover it. This practice would keep your card active and earn you 99cents.
Now i just wanted to know if anyone knew of any cards in the UK that offered the same "feature".
Thanks
C
(Also small rant, US credit cards are SOOOOOOOOOOO much better than UK credit cards.... I'm a little annoyed by it haha)

I neither agree nor disagree but am curious as to how you have arrived at this conclusion. Could you please be more specific?
In answer to the specific question, no. I am not aware of any such cards.0 -
I don't think us cards are absolutely better it's just a different approach.
Let's face it free banking is rare or non existent in the states which people here assume is a right. They don't have section 75 cover, but they do get car hire excess cover.
Benefits seem to be much better on those with large balances or spend in the us, whereas the difference is less marked in the uk.
I'm not sure I could be bothered to spend time searching for an item for less than 70p online just to keep a card open and not simply purchase something small I actually wanted to needed but we're all different.0 -

I know if I have a balance of £1.00 or less on one of my credit cards at the time of producing the statement then the card issuer writes off the debt each time. So I usually pay the balance just before the statement is produced less £1.00 and they just write it off.0
