Advice needed on buying house

Hi guys need some advice
my house is sold and I got the asking price (very suprised but hey not gonna complain) however the house im buying think i paid too much for 144k for 2 bed end terrace with good sized side plot ideal 2 bed extension with garage house needs work too not as good nick as mine ( wouldnt of got any more £s for mine as had done all decorating and bits and bobs can do ) in luton
only prob is my buyer and guy im buying from cannot agree on a completion date has been dragging on and on for some time now still havent exchanged contracts yet buy my buyer is getting pi***d off and is talking about pulling out as he is currently renting
do i hang on in to get my house
or sell to my buyer asap regardless as he paid asking
i have option to move back with dad till i find another property
your help and advice would be greatly appreciated

With the market how it is at the moment I'd take the money from your buyer, even if it means moving in with your dad for a while.

I would definately take the above option. House sales/purchases are rarely straightforward and this way if your purchase fell through then you would be a cash buyer for your next property. In the current market that would put you in a very strong position for a price negotiation.0 -
Yes good advice.
But your solicitor should be doing all this for you.. think you should give him/her a call,,, and frankly,, kick butt.. im speaking from experience as an ex estate agent..0 -
yeh, its summer, check to make sure your solicitor has not buggered off on holiday !0
