PIP claim now ESA chasing me

Back in July I had to go for an ESA assessment, They terminated the interview due to my aspergers and anxiety attacks, and it was in the best interest. They wrote to me telling me my claim will not be changed and Awarded my ESA. The Doctor told me I should apply for pip payments as well. So on thursday my support worker for my autism did the call as I can not cope with phone calls. They did my application for the application form, sent me a text message yesterday saying my form has been sent out.
Today being Saturday DWP just text me saying we need to talk to you about your ESA call us straightaway and gave me the phone number. All though my support team tend to do this kind of things for me as it stated to call them straight away (and me thinking the worse) I call them but they are closed.
I have phoned my support worker who will call them on monday with me but now I have a whole weekend of anxiety and panicking. If i am asked to do something I do it when stated, however I cant now as it is obviously a computer generated message.
Am I in trouble or are they stopping my benefits now.... I would have thought they would do something serious like that via a letter or asking me to an appointment somewhere. but the urgency of the text is panicking me.
The doctor at my last assessment clearly said they put on my file that I am not fit to attend further assessment appointments....
Just seems bad practice to send such an urgent sounding text message when I can't act on it especially when the person they are sending it has aspergers so if instructed to do something I have to do it, as I take things literally. knowing my condition computer generated or not, seems bad to allow it to happen knowing it will worry me all weekend and cause me a great deal of stress

Timing of the arrival of the letter is unfortunate to say the least, but DWP don't have any direct control over how long letters take to be delivered. As they now use 2nd class post for most mail, it can take anything from 48 hours to a week or more. There is no way they can ensure that letters don't arrive over a weekend.
You can't contact them immediately if the office is closed so there is no problem with you not complying with their request. Let your support worker contact them on Monday to find out what it's all about.
The claim for PIP will have nothing to do with this letter as the letter will have been sent before the PIP application was made.0 -
I got a text message today saying contact them not a letter. a day after they text me saying my pip application has been sent. Nothing via letter about them needing to speak to me just a text message sounding urgent. I have had problems before and I cant afford to have benefits stopped 3 days before my payment is due. I have just paid my rent top up in my supported living for 6 months up front this week, and just paid my council tax bill up front as they sent me a statement of payment so i set uyp a direct debit, but instead of 6 x monthly payments they took the whole year out in 1 go. that aside i told them not to bother with refunding as i get paid on wednesday again so can afford to live this week with the loss of money and at least my council tax is paid.0

Apologies, I missed the fact that the latest contact was by text. It does seem stupid to tell you to contact them urgently and then not be available to take the call!
I know it's easy for others to say but, as there is nothing anybody can to until Monday, try not to worry. It's far more likely to be something trivial than something serious. The text content is not created by the person who contacted you, they are all templates and staff aren't supposed to make any changes to them. That can result in an inappropriate template being used because it's closest to what they want to say.0 -
If it is the 0345 number, you could have tried today and tomorrow, sometimes they do overtime on weekends generally between 9am - 1pm
If it is a landline number you could have tried it straight away, they sometimes give their direct number for you to call. If it is engaged all the time though they have not switched their phone on to recieve incoming calls.
Have you changed address recently?
Do you/your partner claim Carers Allowance that maybe is not declared on your ESA claim.?
These texts are sent when someone at DWP wants to clarify something about your claim with you. To make sure they have the correct information. They also do it if you have been awarded PIP, but I doubt your PIP has been awarded so quickly.
For example, I can see a possible scenario:
6 or 12 months ago you changed address, but you did not inform ESA.
Your post goes to a correspondence address on DWP system so the fact that you changed residential address did not affect your ability to collect your post from the address that ESA has always sent your post to... or 6 month ago you moved out of your mother's address, and your ESA post has continued to be sent to your mother's address, hence you were able to attend your WCA recently.
You claimed PIP on Thursday last week and in doing so you told them where you are currently living, the PIP system updates the ESA system with your new address, and ESA sends you a text asking you to call them quickly. Otherwise your benefits could be delayed. Unreported Change of address download will cause your ESA payments to be suspended....but it can usually be fixed in a 30 minute phonecall and payment released.
You then call ESA and they ask you where you are living, you tell them and they say "when did you move there?" then they ask "why did you not tell us?"
You then say "I did tell you" but what you actually mean is that you thought your support worker would tell DWP (they are not able to do that, without you being on the phone with them) or you actually mean that you told the Housing Benefit of your new address or you told the Jobcentre, either of which is not the same thing as phoning ESA helpline and telling ESA that you have changed address.0
