Small claims: what happens?

I'm currently pursuing a small claim against a motor trader who supplied a car which had (and still has) a number of problems that materially affect its value. (Specifically, within 3 months I had to replace the clutch, I'm trying to recover the cost).
I keep logging in to MCOL and clicking the next button and paying the fees but I don't really understand what is happening. I find the documentation provided to be quite lacking.
This is where it's got to:
I was expecting getting a date to go to court but nothing happened.
As I understand it I have won by default as no defence has been given. Is this so?
What happens next?
Thanks,
Richard.

It looks like you won a CCJ on 28 March.
It looks like you have now sent the debt to county court bailiffs for enforcement.
Have a read of https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/debt-and-money/action-your-creditor-can-take/bailiffs/bailiff-has-issued-you-with-a-notice/how-bailiffs-are-authorised-to-act/.0 -
Bump!
I was kinda expecting something to happen but nothing has. What do I need to do next?

Is it possible to call up the court to find out the status of the warrant?
If the debt is over £600, I would send it to High Court Enforcement Officers (HCEOs). You will find plenty of HCEO firms on google. There is a fee for this (the fee is recoverable from the defendant) but it will give you the best chance of getting a payment reasonably quickly.0 -
Well today I've received a very oddly laid out letter -- if you can call it that -- from the The County Court Business Centre saying
> "Defendant no longer trading at green belt site= he said will pay £400 next week then monthly over 2 months"
They certainly seem to be still trading.
The piece of paper also contains the phrase "EX77-Interim Return on a Warrant".
I guess I shall wait and see if anything happens next week...
(Thanks everyone for your input.)0
