Hi everyone,
We are just starting to look in to building, can I ask how you chose your sites and what pitfalls there could be?
Thanks!0 -
Check for availability of water/electric to site. The more remote = more expensive. Electricity connection can be VERY expensive.0

Hi AMG, I am exactly the same, looking into beginning to build, I have 2 options of purchasing a house with a builders finish, costing £230k but everything to do, joinery fit out, kitchen, floors, fire place, stoves, 2600 sq ft house.
I don’t know if I am better purchasing a site for approx £45k and then trying to build and if this will actually save me much, like if it costed £100sq/ft to build and finish a house I wouldn’t, I am planning to finish my house to a mid range finish, £12k kitchen, carpets in bedrooms etc.0 -
