Hello,
Quick question I am redoing a attic bedroom some of the walls are plaster board some are brick and i think one is lathe and plaster and not sure about the ceiling.
I am wanting to rewire as in change light fixture and move all the sockets. So i was looking to get the full room completely re plastered. Now I am getting in someone to doing the plastering and what i wanted to know was should i strip the walls myself and remove the original plaster or leave that too the plasterer?
Any tips?

If you are intent on hanging a lathe from your walls you need something a bit stronger than plaster! Joking aside, it's lath and whether you remove the old plaster or leave it to your plasterer surely depends upon what the quote/estimate/contract states. It would be unfair for the plasterer to turn up expecting a clean room and then find he/she has to remove old plaster first.
Also if you are rewiring it makes sense to do this first.0
