Are you in the UK or are you in India?
There must be CCTV companies in India - would you not be better off starting there?
I should imagine the laws on CCTV have yet to catch up to ours, you need to take into account that laws may be brought in after you fit the cameras.
In the meantime it is difficult to advise on CCTV when there is little clue as to what sort of place they would be in!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
There are plenty of recorders/cameras that will do what you want. I have a Swann system that provides really good quality images in daylight but not so good when using its "100 foot range" infrared illumination. The problem is that cameras in low light levels reduce their shutter speed to around 1/3 to 1/10 second resulting in blurry images of anything moving. Add the black and white ir view, and you have little chance of identifying anyone from the recording. Mine is a 4 mega pixel ip network system, using a Swann NVR4-7400 recorder.
Another problem is that spiders love CCTV cameras and make webs over them on a daily basis... You will need a UPS to avoid glitches in the mains supply causing problems with the system, I use an APC 700 VA unit, eBay price about £80.
Drop me a PM for more specific info if necessary.0 -
Where are you storing all the footage the cameras capture? In the home where the data can get stolen? Or streamed over the internet where you can store it and view it later?
Thats going to be a lot of data each month. Is the broadband here and there fast enough?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Well here it would be illegal to face out if you could see other people's homes .
Not illegal - It just means that it falls under the Data Protection Act :-
"If your camera covers, even partially, any areas beyond the boundaries of your property, such as neighbouring gardens or the street, then it will no longer be exempt from the Data Protection Act (DPA) under the domestic purposes exemption. This does not mean that you are breaching the DPA but it does mean that you might need to take some steps to comply with it."

Complying with the DPA isn't hard as most domestic recording kit includes the facility to blank out areas, such as neighbouring property.
Careful location of cameras, so as to clearly "point downwards", will reduce the likelihood of neighbours thinking you are spying on them. It's also a good idea as it minimises rain drops on the lens of exposed cameras.0 -
When I read the title I thought where is ABORAD ..... then you said it is in India. No, I realised you had misspelled abroad. Question though, do you want to use it in India and monitor from here, install it here and monitor from India or install and monitor in India?0
